Facial rejuvenation acupuncture improves muscle tone and dermal contraction especially in the face and neck. It has been shown to increase collagen production and aids in its distribution, helping to firm the skin and fill out wrinkles. Bags and sagging around the eyes, face, and neck can be significantly reduced and toned up.
“Aging is the only natural cause for wrinkles, spots, sagging, etc. We need to focus on Qi and blood circulation, to stimulate collagen production and water balance under the skin. In order to achieve an overall youthful look, we are focusing on different aspects of balance in your body, such as physical body structure, emotional balance, Qi and essence balance, and the spiritual balance.” Terence Tang PhD, R.Acu., R.TCM

Facial Rejuvenation Treatment Plan
A typical treatment course is 10 sessions, and usually a maximum of 3 treatment courses is recommended. Each treatment course may focus on a distinct facial area, such as the neck, cheek and jowls, or forehead. Some patients will need more treatments than others. Sessions are administered at least once weekly, with a maximum of 3 treatments per week with a 1-day hiatus between treatments. Following a complete treatment course, we recommend monthly maintenance visits.
There are some commonly used herbal formulas that aid in the practice of facial rejuvenation and will be offered in addition to facial rejuvenation acupuncture sessions depending on your specific needs.
